From a contortionist to country music star Adam Brand – there is truly something for everyone. There are workshops for the kids, buskers from all types of music backgrounds and food trucks representing food from all around the world (you’ll want to try everything!). The best part, this event is held on the picturesque Currumbin creek, which offers a relaxed vibe for this wonderful event. Castrol Gold Coast 600
The Castrol Gold Coast 600 is an iconic Gold Coast event held on the 21-23rd of October, but you don’t always want to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle on your holiday. The best option is to stay in Kirra, just a short drive from the heart of the action and simply head in for the day’s activities, and then drive or catch the G-link and bus back to the peace and quiet of the local Kirra beaches and your hotel room.

Swell Sculpture Festival
If you were lucky enough to visit the Gold Coast this month, we hope you had a chance to check out the Swell Sculpture festival, held on Currumbin Beach. This beautiful showcase of art is something you don’t want to miss. It’s worth booking your trip for 2017 to align with this festival, as it is incredible. Plus, it’s kid friendly – your little ones can play in the sand while you take in the art exhibits!
Saltfest
For the budding surfers, we hope you had a chance to check out Saltfest, which was held on the 3rd of September. This Surf event caters to ocean lovers of all ages. There were surfboard shapers, yoga classes, food trucks, surf gear and apparel, plus some awesome surf artists and photographers. It’s definitely an event to check out if you’re in town this time next year!
